    Location is key to sting of summer gas prices

    Motorists across most of the country have been getting a break on gas prices, but not on the West Coast. The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Oregon is $4.17. The economic burden of near $4-a-gallon gasoline is not evenly shared. The West Coast is bearing more than its fair share of the pain while refiners near the Rockies region gorge on cheap, local crude.
